It required testing with multiple ways, may it works-
- Segmnet the green part from the images
- Consider the upper half part of Image, so that it cancel the junction of all leaves at the lower part.
- Counts the blobes (If leaves are still connected, you can try with imrode and other morpho operations to disjoint them)
- Counts the connected blobs.
It takes times, therefore I didinot tried with code, but this problem can be solved.
