Count the number of items in a excel sheet in a particular year.

I have excel sheet which contains two columns name of manufacturer and manufactured date( fro 1990 to 2001). I want to count the number of items manufactured by each company in a particular year.
This is the initial sheet.
MANUFACTURED BY MFG DATE
KCCL May-97
MMCPL Aug-03
INCYL Apr-94
SAHUWALA Feb-03
OM May-97
And i want the results in the below format
MANUFACTURER 1990 1991 1992 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001
KCCL 38 49 54 66 46 39 37 52 34 23 23 11
MMCPL 16 9 14 20 11 9 9 7 13 7 1 2
