How can i segment an image exactly into half using its centroid value

If the centroid is the middle, then the right and left portions may not be exactly half.
Or are you talking about one blob in the image, not the whole image itself. And you want to split that blob into a right and left half with the centroid as the vertical separation line? Again - the two "halves" may not have exactly the same areas.
Attaching PNG files makes it easier for us to see right here, than fig files, which requires saving and then opening in MATLAB.
