MCR Windows 10 issues

I am using the following for code developed for a client:

MATLAB Version 9.2 (R2017a)

MATLAB Compiler Version 6.4 (R2017a)

Signal Processing Toolbox Version 7.4 (R2017a)

I have R2019a, but haven't been compiling with it because updates would then mean all of the client's sites would need to re-download the MCR version. On new computers at the company, they are having trouble with running without crashing. Are there known issues with older Compilers? Should I just bite the bullet for them and compile with 2019a?
