Single digit recognizer with daq device

I need to build a matlab program which identify number digit (0 to 9) in real time. the input is given by microphone through a DAQ (Data Aquisition) device. Please help me. If anybody has prebuilded code, kindly send me to "sugandika2jayalath@gmail.com", There should not be machine learning techniques.
