How to install GUI on a computer without Matlab?

I tried to install the standalone GUI on a machine that did not have Matlab, but I get the following error:

This answer to a similar question should help you out!
In short:
  • Disable anti-virus software
  • Try a different install directory
  • Remove prerelease files (if present)
  • Delete/Reinstall Mathworks products
