Setting image acquisition camera driver settings.

In the image acqusition program, part of the image acquisiton toolbox, it is possible to set driver properties before taking data, manually, within the program. I've successfully written up a program that analyzes live images in code, but I have not found a way to set driver properties in command line for that data taking. It's a useless program without this ability, and a borderline useless toolbox without it for my application space. Do those command line methods exist?
