Bloomberg Query Language (BQL)

Does anybody know if you can hack calls to BQL from MATLAB? I would prefer not to switch from MATLAB to python,but thet may be the only solution.

I realize this post is a few years old, but I have the same quesiton. It seems like BQL is not accessible through Matlab, but still looking for a definitive answer.
