Problem while opening the image

2 次查看(过去 30 天)
After I save .tiff file from winspec and if I open it the image gets darker and consequently if i read them through matlab, I get very less intensity values. I am not getting the correct intensity values since it is dark. It is a 16 bit image .

  1. What is winspec (your first program)?
  2. In what 2nd program are you opening it and finding it's darker? Are you basing this off the appearance of the image once displayed in that second program, or by inspecting the digital values?
  3. Then, after that second program you say you consequently open it in MATLAB (the 3rd program) and find it's darker than the second program. Again, are you basing this off the appearance of the image once displayed in MATLAB, or by inspecting the digital values in the workspace?
  4. Can you attach your .tiff image and tell us for the upper left (1,1) pixel, what winspec says the value is, what the second program says the value is, and what MATLAB says the value is?

  1. Winspec is a software used to open images in .tiff and .spe.
  2. I opened the image in windows photo viewer as 16 bit tiff and I get darker image. I can only import the photos from windows photo viewer to matlab.
  3. I am not saying it is darker than the second program. If i could import the image directly from winspec software to matlab , i would have got the correct pixel intensity values but since I can only import it from windows photo viewer, I saved the file from winspec to photoviewer and then imported to matlab. Since the image is darker in windows photo viewer when compared to winspec, I get the wrong intensity values.
  4. Yes , i could attach the tif image but I could only send you through email since the image is more than 5 MB. Please give me your email id.
