Entropy Error - Index exceeds the number of array elements (1).

When I run:

I = imread('circuit.tif');
J = entropy(I)

I get the error:

Index exceeds the number of array elements (1).

The same error occurs with the example at:

openExample('images/CalculateEntropyOfGrayscaleImageExample')

The Image Processing Toolkit is installed. The image is in the path.

What could be causing this error?

Any help would be appreciated.

I upgraded to R2019b from R2018b and there is no problem.
