Plot a straight line on another graph

Hi,
I have a curve line graph that I plot using plot function. How can I put reference lines on it as shown in figure attached?
Any help? Thanks..

It looks as though you want to plot tangent lines at specific points on the curve. See How to draw tangent line at infleciton point? for an example.
