how to calculate euclidean norm of two points?

My question is to find euclidean norm of two points
||x-y||^2
here is my code for this:
%let x=2, y=3
norm(x-y)
%answer in command window
1
kindly tell me if I am using right command! or should i also take square root?

As you mentioned ||x-y||^2
(abs(x-y))^2
If not, please do read here the theory and tell us the expression
