how can i delete a set of points from a binary image and obtain the coordinates of a line??

hi, i have some problems to solve this.
i´m trying to obtain the coordinates of a line in the image, i have the talweg or central line who´s defined by the two sides of the river but I need the north or south bank to can polyfit() them and calculate the width.
by the way, im trying to make this to polar coordinates. https://la.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/39796-jdugge-xy2sn
but i need the coordinates of the banks, thanks by the way.
