patch for macOS Catalina

I have an old version of matlab, 2012a, I have now loaded Catalina for my mac and the old version of matlab ceased to work. How do I get a patch to allow this to work?

Mathworks will produce a one-time customized patch for R2012a for you, for the low price of only $US271828182.84 (plus applicable taxes.)
Or you could install Parallels or VMWare and run OS-X Lion (10.6) as a "guest" operating system and run R2012a within that.
