How to display signal dimensions on signal lines?

Often the dimensions are only displayed when something went wrong with them, like those of output not matching those of input.
But is there a way to always display signal dimensions on the signal lines?

Am I correct in the assumption that in at least in Matlab 2015b signals of dimension [1x1] or 1 aren't displayed?

Yes, Element 1 vectors and 1x1 matrices are treated as "scalar signals".
Scalar signals do not display of the dimensions.
