Note that matlab does not provide any "write at the end" operation for xlswrite or writetable or similar. If you need a "write at the end" operation then you need to use ActiveX to interface to Excel, or you need to read in the entire current content and append the new and write that out.
The recommended approach is to gather all of the data into an array first and then write it all in one operation.
Otherwise, keep track of where the end of data is and use that knowledge to build ranges to write to with xlswrite or writetable.
Sometimes with pure numeric data the best approach is to incrementally write out a binary file, and then whenthe data is written, read the binary all in (a fast operation) and write to excel (a slower operation)
