Hi,

Simply restarting the MATLAB causes the problem. imaqhwinfo can detect adaptors only immediately after installing them. Upon restarting MATLAB the command lose its sight.

To clarify further, to get imaqhwinfo working, you're having to re-install the support package for your hardware everytime you open MATLAB?

Also, when you open up a new MATLAB session, what value does the field InstalledAdaptors of imaqhwinfo have?

Can you also elaborate how you've arrived at this problem?

Yes, to get imaqhwinfo working I do have to re-install the support package.

With the new session of MATLAB, the following is the output of imaqhwinfo:

>>   struct with fields:
    InstalledAdaptors: {}
        MATLABVersion: '9.5 (R2018b)'
          ToolboxName: 'Image Acquisition Toolbox'
       ToolboxVersion: '5.5 (R2018b)'

I was trying to develop an image acquisition script using the GC2450 camera from Allied Vision through Image Acquisition Toolbox. The toolbox was able to identify the camera and establish connection but the Preview was not showing anything except a white screen. I closed MATLAB to check if Vimva Viewer provided by Aliied Vision is able to connect to the Camera and confirmed it could. Then, upon restarting MATLAB, the toolbox could no longer detect the camera, and I realized that the imaqhwinfo cannot see the installed adpator.
