Error 348 - deactivated my license on one computer but now I can't use it on another computer

I have just deactivated my license on one machine so I could use it on a new machine but I am getting Error 348 "This license is already linked to another MathWorks account". Do I need to wait a period of time before I can use this license again?

Hello chloe allison,

As per my understanding, you are getting error 348 which says ‘This license is already linked to another MathWorks account’

Please note that, this error indicates that an end user has already been assigned to the license. Only one end user may be on an Individual or Designated Computer license. MATLAB Student and MATLAB Home licenses are single-user and non-transferrable. It is not possible to change the end user on a MATLAB Student or MATLAB Home license.
