Hi everyone,
I am new in learning how to work with Self orgnizing map.
I would like to apply it to gene expression analysis.
I have four vectors of gene expression data. I would like to use SOM to cluster them as the example
in
Now, my question is regarding the interpretation of "the weight plane for each of the four input features".
How should I know the darker hexons are related to which neurons or genes?
Can we say that they represent the same nerouns as Hits map as follow?
Then for example, in "Weights from Input 1" subfigure, row 2 first hexzon, those four elements in "Hits" has a high value?
I would be thankful, if someone could possibly help me with this interpretation?
Best regards,
Susan
