Create n equidistant point along a circle

I'm trying to create a circle (given radius and center) and n=8 equidistant plotted point along the circumference;
If anyone has a sample code or can help me with this, thanks in advance

theta=linspace(0,360,n+1); theta(end)=[];
x=R*cosd(theta)+x0;
y=R*sind(theta)+y0;
