How can I use the ColorChannels function of VideoWriter in VideoReader?

I am currently making a code in which an input video comes in and I need to check the number of color channels it has. The function I need is in videoWriter but I need to use it in videoReader because I am not going to create a new video.

Hii,
By using whos func youcan get the info of number of color channels
Below is an example code for it
v = VideoReader('xylophone.mp4');
frame=read(v,1);
whos frame;
Name Size Bytes Class Attributes
frame 240x320x3 230400 uint8
Where Size(2400x320x3) 3-gives the number of color channels
3-RGB
1-Grey
