I was trying to power operation for constant

 t=linspace(0,10,100);
 y=(-1)^(t);

I expected the results as 1 1 1 1 -1 -1 -1 1 -1 1 -1 1 1 -1 something like the combination of 1 and -1

but the result is not what i have expected
