Mac Simulink 2020a not loading

I recently downloaded Matlab 2020a and all associted files with it on my Mac. Now when I try to open Simulink, it will display a busy signal, never loading beyond that. I left it open for a few hours because I asked others who recently downloaded as well, and they said it eventially opens, but I dont think they had to wait 6 hours.
