Differences between R2017a and R2019a

R2017a allows use of leters in 1st order transfer function but R2019a does not. Am I missing an extra step in R2019a. eg In R2017a, For 1st order Transfer Function Block, Changing denominator from [1,1] to [L,R] works but refuses for R2019a. Trying to create 1/(Ls+R)

Can you post the code which works in R2017a but not in R2019a?

Appreciate the interest. I can send the simple simulink model that was created in R2017a and cannot be recreated in R2019a or R2019b
