Plot Bathymetry data on Google Earth using MATLAB

Hi,
I have a set of bathymetry data (Latitude, Longitude, Sea depth) and I want to create a contour map using MATLAB with different colors and legend, and then integrate this in a .kml file to be opened in Google Earth later on. I'm hoping to have an outcome similar to what is shown below.
Can anyone please suggest me a way to approach this?
I'd welcome any suggestion at this point because I'm really stuck.
