Something seems horribly wrong with delayed systems

Hi,
I am running a simple example for PID tuning in matlab.
Among several systems, I have a couple who have a time delay.
However, when I try to simulate the response I get something which looks quite wrong (see below). The same example worked in a previous verson of matlab.
I tried different solvers, introducing the delay in different ways, but I still get this.
Any hint?
