How to use array elements as transition condition in stateflow

I have a vector input to stateflow chart a =[1 4 1 3 3 2 1 4 1] In first state I am defining i=0 Initially in first state i is incremented by 1,there are two transitions for other two states. In first transition condition: [a[i]==1] for second [a[i]==2].The second condition is true and third condition is false so the transition occurs to second state. The problem is the transition stops in first state itself.any syntax error?
