Unit step and transfere function in Simulink will i need a gain box???

For the system shown in the figure below, where G1(s)=1/(s+1), and U(s) is a unit step input, write an M-file to plot the output y(t) for the three cases =2, =4, =6.
Plot the three responses on the same graph.
U(s)---->G1(s)-------->Y(s)
I have....
Unit step-------Transfer function-------Bus------
Unit step-------Transfer function-------Bus------Scope
Unit step-------Transfer function-------Bus------
Sorry for the poor looking simulink example cant seem to upload a scrrenshot
My question is, I have been looking at other examples online that have included a gain block. Will i need to include a gain block even though my numerator is 1???
Thanks!!!

You don't need a gain block, even your numerator is different from 1.
