Problem with matlab editor

When I click the 'new script' button in the toolbar of the matlab editor, I get it in a new window.l But, I want all the open scripts as tabs in the editor. I never had this problem before. I didn't change anything too... So, how do I correct this?

Are you getting it in a new window inside the editor (aka a floating panel) or a brand new window outside of the editor?

I don't know what happened to alter this behavior. Does the same thing happen when you have the editor window up and hit ctrl+n?
