I am not able to use set_param to change type_options for system mask parameter

I am using following code
set_param(sub,'p','TypeOptions',{'1','2','3'})
I am not able do it this way, Is there any possible way to change options using set_param?

Using set_param we can only change the value of a parameter.
In this instance you should use parameter object and dot operator to chnage the value
The syntax is as follows:
paramObj.TypeOptions= {'1','2','3'};
