Contour plot linestyle specification does not clearly adjust the lines. Is there a work around / bug report submitted?

When using contour to plot data, after adjusting the line width to a large value the linestyle specifiers '-','-.','--' are not readily distinguishable. Does anyone know a work round for this problem or is there a bug report on this already?

I hear you saying that when the line gets thicker, then the lines, spaces, and dots all blend together into one big fat line. Is that right? If so, they probably just didn't take into account that when the line is made thicker, the spaces between lines and dots need to be made farther apart. I'd notify them or ask them about it.
