Custom RL rewards function

Hi,
I am not able to come accross a documentation for creating custom reward function and reset function for a custom RL environment. Can some one point me towards, I mean documentation like how the function should like what parameters it takes in, how it relates to current state and next state and so and not just the definition of rewards.
