Communication between matlab and B&R PLC

Hi,

I have just started to learn PLCs. I want to set up a communication between plcs and matlab. Can anyone help me in this field. Basically i want to exchange the data set in PLC variables and store it in the PC.

Hi Himanshu, I have never worked with B&R PLCs, but I have done the same with Siemens Products. The Method should work for you too.

Collect all your Data on your PLC
Send the data via TCP or UDP to your PC
Use one of the Matlab-Toolboxes which provides network-functionality (the free one from Peter Rydesäter: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/345 is fine) to receive all your Data
do some Post processing (converting Big/little Endian, split Data etc) in Matlab/Simulink
