Display number with units in scientific notation (format compact)

Example:
u = symunit;
m_Sr84 = 83.913430 * u.m_u;
unitConvert(m_Sr84,u.kg)
The output is
ans =
0.00000000000000000000000013934152872740444672207576264548*[kg]
I'd naturally like to by default display this in scientific notation. Running "format compact" has no effect. How can this be achieved?
