RLS estimation algorithm in m-file

Hello,
I want to write a RLS estimation algorithm in matlab, Can anyone tell me how can I do it? The problem is, how can I define inputs and outputs?
y=phi´*theta dimension for y is 2x1, phi´ has 2x4 and theta has 4x1
