Plotting from a datetime array

I am writting a program that reads in a text file and recongnizess dates and puts them in a datetime array called dates in my case. For example these are some of my dates
'22-Jul-2019 17:47:13'
'22-Jul-2019 18:05:55'
'22-Jul-2019 18:06:31'
'24-Jul-2019 18:00:07'
'24-Jul-2019 18:00:30'
'24-Jul-2019 18:11:40'
. I can have hundreds of these so I am trying to plot straight from the datetime array called dates for my x-axis. Pleasae help
