Rectangular mesh using coordinates

I am trying to draw a mesh using the following co ordinates. Below is my code. Can someone tell me how to connect the point and create the mesh. Please help.
B =5;
x1 = linspace(0,5/10,10);
y1 = linspace((B-B/12),B,10);
[xxx yyy] = meshgrid(x1,y1);
coordinates = [xxx(:) yyy(:)];
plot(xxx,yyy,'b.')

x1 = linspace(0,5/10,10);
y1 = linspace((B-B/12),B,10);
[X,Y] = meshgrid(x1,y1);
plot(X,Y,'r',X',Y','r')
