Not enough memory in editor

I've been trying to run a code and every time I run it, a pop up shows saying 'not enough memory in editor to open'
how would I solve this problem?

Preferences -> General -> Java Heap Memory
Can be increased to up to 8 Gigabytes.
Note: as of R2020a, the editor will refuse to open files of over 128 megabytes.
