Cannot link my Arduino to Mac

I keep trying to install the arduino support package on my MATLAB on my mac. Everytime I try to install the add-on I get the message " This folder name is invalid. Folder names can contain alphanumeric characters and '-', '_', '.', or '/' only. The destination folder cannot be named "private"." Can anyone help?

I experienced this problem on mac if the 'userpath' points to a path with spaces in the pathname. Set your 'userpath' to something which does not contain spaces. For example,
userpath('/Users/ameerhamzakhan/Documents/MATLAB/')
