Plot two functions at different intervals

Hi!
I have two sets of data that I want to plot at the same graphic but at different intervals. I have defined set 1 as BE and I want to plot it from 0 to 1000 and I have defined set 2 as RE and I want to plot it from 1000 to 4000. How can I do it?

BE = rand(1, 1001);
RE = rand(1, 3001)+2;
figure()
axes();
hold on
plot(0:1000, BE);
plot(1000:4000, RE);
