About copy or cut sth from 'Edit Text' in GUI

I want to copy or cut something I've chosen from a uicontrol('Style','edit') in GUI using a uicontextmenu. How can I realize that?

Wouldn't it be easier to use control-c or control-x (MS Windows), or apple-c and apple-x (OS-X) ?
