Read From file and write to another

Hi everybody,
I have a file that contains 147 lines each line is: (example)
D, 1,UX ,-0.209000888E+00
D, 1,UY ,-0.209000891E+00
D, 1,UZ , 0.195729374E+02
I wanted to write a file that scans my file and see UZ and take its value and dump it in a Universal file Format (UFF).
Any steps that I can start with?
