transfer text from main GUI to sub gui

Hye guys.
there is something that i would like to ask. i have two GUIs. one is the main while the another one is the sub. in the main GUI, there is a push button. the situations are 1. i enter text in the editbox in main GUI 2. then i push a pushbutton and the text will come out in a staticbox in sub GUI.
right now, i succesfully link the two GUI. however, the text that i enter wont come out in my sub GUI.
i already tried many commands such as findall and getappdata or setapp data. it didnt work.
can somebody help me? tq in advance.
