How can I use a DC signal in simulink as my reference signal (DO i use the step input?)
how can i convert my DC to PWM and adjust the settings for the PWM appropriately?

Hello,
It seems like you are asking how to implement an DC Voltage in simulink. The DC Voltage Source block implements an ideal DC voltage source. This example model of a DC Motor will give you some insight into how it can be implemented in simulink.
