syntax error in code

I dont understand where i'm going wrong, all of my terms are defined and yet a syntax error pops up.
x_be(n+1) = [2 * x_be(n) * (((x_be(n))^2 + (y_be(n))^2)^2) - 2 * gamma * y_be(n) * ((x_be(n))^2 + (y_be(n))^2) - 4 * x_be(n) * ((gamma * h)^2) + (2 * x_be(n) * ((x_be(n))^2 + (y_be(n))^2) - 2 * gamma * h * y_be(n)) * (sqrt(((x_be(n))^2 + (y_be(n))^2)^2 - 4 * (gamma * h)^2)]/[2 * ((x_be(n))^2 + (y_be(n))^2)^2 * (((x_be(n))^2 + (y_be(n))^2)^2 + sqrt(((x_be(n))^2 + (y_be(n))^2)^2 - 4 * (gamma * h)^2))];

temp1=2*x_be(n)*((x_be(n)^2+y_be(n)^2)^2)-2*gamma*y_be(n)*(x_be(n)^2 +y_be(n)^2)-4*x_be(n)*((gamma*h)^2)+2*x_be(n)*x_be(n)^2+y_be(n)^2-2*gamma*h*y_be(n)*(sqrt(x_be(n)^2)+(y_be(n)^2)^2-4*(gamma*h)^2);
temp2=2*(x_be(n)^2+y_be(n)^2)^2*(x_be(n)^2+y_be(n)^2)^2+sqrt((x_be(n)^2 +y_be(n)^2)^2-4*(gamma*h)^2);
x_be(n+1)=temp1/temp2;
