is it possible to get a numeric edit field in matlab app designer to display a value as f.eks 10,000,000.00 instead of 10000000.00

There does not seem to be a direct way. You can use text edit field and use this FEX package: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/52832-num2sepstr.
