Making music note program

Hi, I'm trying to make program that shows the note of the song, by detecting fundamental frequencies. However, I'm still having trouble on making base, for catching what pitch is this at the moment. Thanks in advance :)

You could refer pitch function in matlab. Also speeh processing tool functions would be helpfull for your project.
