Lighting Simulation in Simulink

I am a student, and I am TOTALLY a novice, I have to take my first steps in lighting simulation with this mission. I have to simulate several types of lamp (incandescent, fluorescence, halogen ..) but I don't see how to do it at all .. I know I have to use Simulink, but then ..
And the same, for the types of lighting, do you know what exactly Simulink allows me to simulate?
