PID autotuning in Matlab code

I have a Simulink plant model with a PID controller that needs tuning when I change certain parameters. I have found that using the interactive autotuning (transfer-function based) available when double clicking on the PID block has given suitable results.
Is there a way to export the plant model to the matlab workspace, run the PID autotuner and update the Kp, Ki, Kd and filter coefficient values in the block using a .m code file or function?
