FPGA matlap interface ,how i can make and complete this project?

 I have an old FPGA Xilinx board called XSV800 have " have XCV800 chip" . 
I want to make a project in that board. This project will be do the following:

1.The vhdl programming the fpga to receive data from the pc serial port(RS232)or usb and then make some processing in that data and finally send the result of processing back to pc

2.The pc user through GUI should can send the data and see the received data from fpga.

3.The pc software should monitor the send and the received data to the pc user around GUI (the GUI screen should has light and sound indications, user control push buttons and popup menus for choosing the data , send the data , other controls and monitoring tools) now my question is: how i can make and complete this project?
